Catherine Anne

 Catherine Anne O'Hara OC (born on March 4, 1954)is a Canadian-American actress comedian, writer, and actress. O'Hara has won a number of awards including the Genie Award, a Golden Globe Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. In addition, she was awarded two Primetime Emmy Awards and six Canadian Screen Awards. In 2018, O'Hara was elected an Officer of Canada. She was also presented with the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Medal in 2020. O'Hara became famous as an actress as a member in 1974 of The Second City, an improvisational comedy troupe based in Toronto. Together with John Candy (1975-1978), she was part of the principal cast of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara began working with Candy in Second City Television's sketch comedy series (1976-1984). O'Hara was recognized for her stand-up and writing talents, winning the Primetime Emmy Award of Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series in 1981. O'Hara was appointed to the Second City artistic advisory panel in 2022 by Stephen Colbert.
