Jennifer Rene Psaki

 Jennifer Rene Psaki is an American political advisor who served as the 34th White House press secretary from 2021 to 2022. As a member of the Democratic Party, she was previously the White House deputy presses secretary (2009-2011); White House deputy communications director(2009-2011) and spokesperson for the United States Department of State (2013)-2015; and White House communications director (2015)-2017. Psaki was an CNN political contributor from 2017 through 2020. Psaki's career began in 2001 when she worked on behalf of the reelection campaigns for Tom Harkin, an Iowa Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate. Psaki then became the deputy press secretary of John Kerry's presidential campaign. Psaki was communications director for Joseph Crowley, a U.S. Representative, and regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee from 2005 until 2006. Psaki was appointed press secretary for President Obama's 2012 election campaign. 20 Psaki quit as spokesperson for the United States Department of State on February 11 2013. The appointment at the Department of State fueled speculation that she would succeed White House Press Secretary Jay Carney when he left the White House,[21] but, on May 30, 2014, it was announced that Josh Earnest would replace Carney. She was recalled to the White House as Communications Director in the year 2015 and was in place until the end.
